Fun in Vegas - Locals Edition I

I thought I'd try something different and highlight fun things to do in Vegas. I know when people visit Las Vegas there is a whole list of popular things to do and must-see tourist attractions. Living here is a different story and usually when we go out we avoid the strip. This week, however, J and I decided to try something new. We ventured down to the MGM Grand and tried a new place.

West Wing Bar

So we had a hard time finding the bar at first as it is literally hidden. We walked through the hotel side of the casino, literally alongside hotel rooms on the first floor, passing random elevators and after about 10 minutes of walking down a long narrow hallway, ended up at the entrance. The bar itself is really dark inside and has a lounge-y feel to it. It was quiet and intimate which is rare to find in Vegas. The con was that drinks were $14 (ouch) but on the upside, they serve you a dish of pretzels when you order a beverage and who doesn't like a snack?

Overall Impression

I would definitely go back here but only on a weeknight.  I have a feeling this place isn't nearly as quaint on the weekend and the though of being packed in a small, dark, crowded room is somewhat unappealing.
